CALL OUT – YEF 2024

YOUTH EXPRESSIONS FESTIVAL 2024 – ADVERT (DOWNLOAD PDF FILE)

The South African State Theatre’s Education, Youth and Children Theatre (EYCT)
Department is excited to announce the call out for applications for the annual
Youth Expressions Festival during the Youth Month of 2024. With that, the EYCT
calls for young art practitioners with exciting new work to send their proposals.
Professional young art practitioners are invited to propose their artistic work to be
part of the festival:
Proposals for the following genres will be considered:

1. Children’s Theatre
2. Drama
3. Musical Theatre
4. Music
5. Poetry
6. Visual Arts

All proposals are required to have all the below to be considered for the above
mentioned festival;

1. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 in 2024 (ID copy of applicant
   to accompany the application).
2. Motivation letter of how the production is relevant, impactful, meaningful and
   entertaining.
3. Creative team information that includes biographies and contact details.
4. A detailed Synopsis of the production
5. A Narrative treatment of the production
6. For visual artists, a recent portfolio of work you have and wish to present.
