 FESTIVALS

We have firmly established three annual festivals.

These occur during June - Youth Month (Youth Expressions Festival), August - Women’s Month (Vavasati International Women’s Festival) and December (Mzansi Fela Festival). These festivals contribute to the revitalisation of the inner city and attract visitors from across Gauteng. Excellence in our productions is our core strength and The South African State Theatre will continue to produce and stage productions which receive critical acclaim.
